I know that this isn't required, but it certainly is good practice that I understand you aspire to be following.

Right now, neither the ontology IRI as given in the document (http://purl.obolibrary.org/obo/NOMEN), nor the IRI that would be following OBO practices and conventions (http://purl.obolibrary.org/obo/nomen.owl) resolve.

Hi @hlapp thanks for the gentle nudge, you're right that we need to take the steps to wire it up through the propper channels. Your observation will become even more true as we expose some actual data in the near future. What we really need to do is publish a short note. We have a lot of data making use, we can in theory publish some nice example datasets once we serialize it.

Will you be requesting the NOMEN ontology space from OBO? It would be a good idea to register it before these IRIs get distributed too widely.

That's the plan. Going to spend some time here this afternoon, will post to OBO with the annonce then.
