Linux Mint Cinnamon - Desktop blanked out #5506
Comments
There are known issues with apt and flatpack at this time. Stick with the latest DEV Daily Build AppImage found at openshot.org/download/#daily. Hardware acceleration is broken across all platforms for now. Reset all hardware acceleration settings back to the defaults. |

Describe the bug:
The Desktop (task bar, app windows and background [not the mouse cursor])
is randomly blanked out while OpenShot is running. It happens about every 3 seconds for another 3 seconds.
This happens with apt package and flatpak installation with and without gpu rendering support,
but not with the appimage but there is no gpu rendering support on my system.
There could be a connection but I don't know.
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
Just run the application.
Expected behavior:
This should not happen.
System Details:
OpenShot over apt: 2.5.1+dfsg1-2ubuntu0.1
OpenShot over Flatpak: 3.1.1
Operating System / Distro: Linux Mint 21.3
Tuxedo Pulse 15 with Ryzen 7 4800H APU (Vega 7)
AMDGPU Driver tested: 5.18 and 6.1
Log Files:
OpenShot log is complete empty with a fresh installed application.
