The latest version of CodeMirror edit box, using textarea

Can the edit box in the CodeMirror plug-in continue to use version 5.3.0 of textarea instead of input?

As far as I know, codemirror does some processing on the basis of input, which is unlikely to be possible in codemirror5. I don’t know what your specific needs are, and tiddlywiki itself does not modify the codemirror library.
