Server Implementation

Paper

Server Version

1.19

Describe the bug

Sticky pistons can be used to delete plot wall blocks.

Note: happens on 1.18.2 and presumably earlier versions as well.

Screen.Recording.2022-07-01.at.00.41.54.mov

To Reproduce

  1. Place sticky piston at the edge of your plot pointing to the road.
  2. Turn it into a headless piston using the debug stick (set the extended block property to true).
  3. Update the piston by placing a block next to it.
  4. Wall block disappears.

Expected behaviour

I expected the wall block to not disappear.

This problem has been known for a long time. There is a lack of options to fix this in a meaningful way. Have a look at the last comments on this closed bug report:

It doesn't work at 1.19.4 anymore with Plotsquared v6.11.1 (can't replicate). Looks like minecraft itsself or plotsquared fixed it somehow.

Well I thought - I was mistaken. It still deletes plot walls with sticky pistons. One more reason not to play around with a debug stick (even with OP)
