Setting background color works, but setting background image does not

I installed a new wowchemy page today and directly edited the Academic Resumé template to add a background image for some of the blocks/sections. However, compilation just does not work in netlify, but shows an error

execute of template failed: template: partials/functions/parse_block_v2.html:42:9: executing "partials/functions/parse_block_v2.html" at <$bg.image.filename>: can't evaluate field filename in type interface {}

I have the background image (background.jpg) in the subfolder assets/media/background.jpg and I added the command (note that the code environment doesn't seem to show the correct line breaks)

design: background: image: background.jpg columns: '2'

to the respective block. If I replace the line "image: background.jpg" by "color: 'navy'" everything compiles and the respective blocks/sections are blue, so I'm really not sure what I am doing wrong (code works for color, but not for setting a background image!?).

As per the error message, the latest version is looking for the background image filename under image > filename rather than previous versions which directly used the image option as the filename. In the latest version, all the background image options have been grouped under the image option.

it is possible to have a concrete awnser; maybe it's because I'm not a dev nor my english is not strong enough but I can't figure what you are saying
