currently if you have more than 9 options (audio settings + au rigs+midi converters), its pretty random which will be assigned a shortcut.
(probably its the order the agents are created)

I think it would be a good idea to have something more consistent, or controllable by the user,
suggestions:

  • allow users to 'tick' which windows they wish to have included. (like favourites)
  • assigned as 'recently used' e.g. CMD + 1 = last
  • logically assign... using rig id? (not nice as you can have a AU 1 and MIDI 1)
  • not sure that Audio settings really needs a shortcut key.

(first has the advantage of static mapping, which is probably the most preferred ie.. you know AU rig 1 = CMD +1 )

Audio settings: - could be assign a static/definitive shortcut? like cmd+A or Z… This is actually the one i use the most ( always changing between multiple outputs/sample rate.

and there I thought no one changed there output much :)

It may be that if we are to move shortcuts to application focus, they may need to be customisable to avoid clashes with plugins. (issue #15)
