I setup the OS on my Ryzen 7 5000 series laptop with radeon graphics.
Gaming mode works fine, however I need to switch to Desktop mode in order to format a secondary SSD and when I do this I just have a blinking cursor for a couple seconds in the top left and then it goes solid and I am unable to press any combination of Ctrl + ALT + F keys etc
Thanks

Does this always happen, making you unable to switch to Desktop?
Because for me it happens sometimes, maybe one time out of ten.
One thing I noticed is that pressing the power button in this situation sends the system into sleep, despite me setting it to Power Off in Gnome settings, so my only option is hard reboot.
