New release #117
Comments
Very good idea, I'll see if I can remember how! |
I've built a tarball, but I don't have access to 4store.org to upload it anymore. @kjetilk, I can send you the tarball over dropbox or mail or something? It's 5MB. @tialaramex - I think it's still in the old Garlik DC! Do you have access to the box? I don't, obviously... |
@swh, I think a tagged release on github will be fine for Debian, and that's mostly what I care about, since I tend use github if I do experiments, and if I want to go in prod, I would use Debian packages. |
I can confirm what kjetil says: I officially maintain 4store packaging for Debian, and have no problem tracking github instead of formal domain (I even considered grabbing and releasing a snapshot when I looked at it a week ago, wondering why you guys hadn't formally released all these niceties in recent git(hub) commits). |
It's a little complex. The domain belongs to my old company, who I have no formal links with anymore, and they got bough by a big company that's not interest in maintaining 4store. |
I just looked at the commits since 1.1.6 and the only commit that adds functionality is 1b31202. I think it's up to you @swh whether to call it 1.1.7 or 1.2.0. I think maybe this bug should be turned into in Epic with the things that need to be done for the bugfix release:
Perhaps people who participated in those issues as well as @er5678ihgfrt5y6ftgtyr might help. I mostly do Java & linked data development nowadays but quite interested in the project and would be glad to help! |
I suspect it should be 1.1.7, but not strong feelings. |
Hi all!
The Debian maintainer of 4store just fixed most of the problems that held 1.1.5 back, and while that effort is too late for next Debian stable, it helps for Ubuntu 15.04, which has a window open another couple of weeks. I think it would be very nice if you could roll another release with the stuff on Github that is stable.
Cheers,
Kjetil
